From family-friendly Easter celebrations to lively local markets and historic tours, there’s something for everyone. Easter egg hunts, a Bunny Run 5K, and the Third Thursday event promise to make this month memorable. Spring is here, and the lovely town of North Augusta is bursting with exciting events and activities to hop into this April! With clear skies expected and temperatures around a comfy 62°F—thanks to those gentle WSW winds blowing between 5 to 10 mph—it’s the perfect time to step out and indulge in some local fun.
Mark your calendars because the second half of April is loaded with fantastic family-friendly activities! Last year, Billie’s Butterfly Garden along the scenic North Augusta Greeneway put a smile on many little faces with their adorable egg searches for newborns, toddlers, and elementary-age kids. Families will be excited to learn that there’s much more in store this year.
On April 19, the North Augusta Optimist Club will be hosting a vibrant Community Easter Egg Hunt at Lions Field, kicking off at 10 a.m. Expect a morning filled with games, prizes, and loads of Easter spirit! Plus, for the adults looking for some fun, you don’t want to miss Bike Bike Baby’s trendy Adult Easter Egg Hunt in downtown Augusta starting at 8 p.m. That should definitely put a spin on your night!
If you’ve got little ones, swing by Oakley Park in Edgefield on the same day from 10 a.m. to noon. It will feature story time, crafts, and lots of food vendors! And if you’re itching for an early morning run, sign up for the Bunny Run 5K at the Sharon Jones Amphitheater at 8 a.m. Registration starts at just $20—what a great way to keep fit and enjoy a festive atmosphere!
There’s also a delightful Spring Fest on April 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church. This family-friendly affair promises fun games, creative crafts, and delicious food. Then, if you’re the adulting type looking for a more refined experience, don’t miss the Foodie Trot‘s Adult Only Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring brunch and live music—tickets are going for $50.
And don’t forget the Spring Eggstravaganza hosted by the Aiken County Historical Museum, which also promises to be a delightful experience with games and an egg hunt. The festivities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on, you guessed it, April 19.
North Augusta will also be buzzing with excitement during the Third Thursday event organized by North Augusta Forward on April 17, from 5-8 p.m. Dive into some local shopping, explore local dining options, and enjoy live music that will surely elevate your Thursday evening! In conjunction with this event, the nearby Arts and Heritage Center will host a special reception for its Abstraction Contraction Exposition, also on April 17. Admission is free, and the exhibit will be available for viewing until May 1.
For history buffs, don’t miss the 17th Annual Historic Beech Island Tour on April 26! Explore 13 incredible historic sites, with tickets available for just $20 in advance for adults and $15 for seniors.
And of course, for all the baseball fans out there, the Augusta GreenJackets will be taking on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at SRP Park from April 14-20. Tickets range from an affordable $10 to $19—perfect for an evening of good ol’ Americana vibes!
