Unique Events to Look Forward To

This year’s Alumni Weekend is packed with special events that cater to everyone, whether you’re a sports fan, a music lover, or just looking to enjoy a delicious meal in good company. Here are some highlights of the weekend:

President’s Brunch

One of the main events will be the President’s Brunch, hosted by AU President Russell T. Keen. Join in the festivities on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Health Sciences quad, located behind the J. Harold Harrison, M.D. Education Commons, at 1301 R.A. Dent Boulevard. Admission is free, and there will be plenty of family-friendly food and activities to keep everyone entertained!

Jaguar Baseball and Softball Games

Feeling sporty? Get ready for some action at the AU Jaguar baseball and softball games taking place on Saturday, April 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Christenberry Fieldhouse on 3109 Wrightsboro Road. Enjoy snacks, drinks, and yard games under a tent while you cheer on the teams. Plus, former player Bryce Massey (BS ’00) will be throwing out the first pitch—how cool is that?

Alumni Weekend After Party

And if you’re up for some night entertainment, don’t miss the Alumni Weekend After Party happening on Saturday, April 26, from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Augusta Marriott in the Oglethorpe Ballroom on 2 Tenth St. Enjoy a night full of music, dancing, and fun, featuring live performances by The Tony Howard Show, covering various genres. It’s the perfect way to wrap up an exhilarating day!

But wait, there’s more! During this festive weekend, there will also be a special recognition ceremony for Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Young Alumni from various colleges and schools within the university. Some notable honorees include:
